7. Cassette slot
Switch the radio on and push the cas-
sette fully into the slot with the tape
facing the right side. Mode is automati-
cally transferred from the radio to the
cassette system, the cassette will now
play.
8. Fast rewind button
Press this button to fast rewind the
tape.
Press the "program and FF/REW stop
button" slightly to stop the fast rewind
movement.
9. Fast forward button
Press the button to fast forward the
tape.
Press the "program and FF/REW stop
button" slightly to stop the fast forward
movement.

Press 8 and 9 buttons simultaneously
to play the opposite side of tape that
is currently playing.
Also, press 8 and 9 button simulta-
neously to stop fast forward or rewind
movement, and then the tape begins
to play.

11. Metal tape button
Press this button when playing a high-
position type like a metal tape, a chrome
tape, etc.
The metal tape indicator "MTL" will be
illuminated in the V.F.D.
Switch off for a normal- position type.
12. Dolby NR button
Press this button when playing back
tapes which have been recorded us-
ing Dolby noise reduction system. The
Dolby symbol( ) will be illuminated
in the V.F.D. This system improves the
signal to noise ratio of the tape sec-
tion, resulting in reduced audible "hiss"
during playback.

13. Preset station/manual memory but-
ton
You can choose the preset station by
pushing the button for less than 2 sec-
onds with the corresponding number.
If you want to preset a certain station
in the memory:
1. Select a desired band using band
selector button.
2. Choose the desired station using
tuning up/down button.
3. Push one of 6 preset buttons for
more than 2 seconds.
14. Tuning up( )/down(
Press the tuning up or down button to
increase or decrease the frequency.
Manual tuning:
When pressing tuning up or down
button for less than 0.5 seconds, the
frequency of AM band changes 9KHz
each time and the frequency of FM
band changes 50KHz each time.
Seek function:
When pressing the tuning up or down
button for more than 0.5 seconds, the
next station is automatically received in
that direction of frequency.
