The TCP DnsPort QoS Application is similar to the TCP FtpPort application but for DNS port 53. When
enabled, this application will drop TCP traffic with the TCP SYN flag set and a source port of 53 with a
destination port less than or equal to 1024.BP DU

10.4 BPDU Blocking

There are certain scenarios in a bridged (switched) environment when the user may wish to drop
incoming BP DUs on a specific interfac e. When enabled, the BPDU Blocker QoS Application will drop
traffic with a specific multicast destination MAC address. Currently targeted BPDU multicast destination
addresses are 01:80:c2:00:00:00 and 01:00:0c:cc:cc:cd.
The following commands are used to enable BPDU blocking
5530-24TFD(config)# interface fastEthernet all
5530-24TFD(config-if)# qos bpdu blocker port <port #> enable
