Anti-vibration system

WARNING!
The fuel that is used in the chainsaw
poses the following hazards:
1. The fl uid and its fumes are poisonous.
2. Can cause skin irritation.
3. Is highly infl ammable.
Dismantling
1. Remove the following components:
• Chain and guide bar.
• Cylinder cover.
• Tank unit.
2. Detach the springs from the cylinder with the help of
a 4 mm Allen key. See fi g. 1.
3. Detach the springs from the tank unit with service
tools 502 52 18-01 and 502 52 18-02. See fi g. 2.
Cleaning and inspection
Clean and inspect all parts.
Reassembly
1. Use pliers to attach the springs to the tank unit.
2. Attach the springs to the cylinder with the help of a 4
mm Allen key. See fi g. 1. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.
3. Refi t the following components:
• Tank unit.
• Cylinder cover.
• Chain and guide bar.
