4. Remove the dipstick.
5. Turn the oil drain plug counterclockwise and pull out
to open it.
6. Let the oil run out into the container.
7. Push the oil drain plug in and turn it clockwise to
close it.
8. Remove the plastic hose and put the cap on the oil
drain plug back.

for instructions how to fill oil.
10. Run the engine warm, then make sure that there is
no leakage from the oil plug.
Note: For safe disposal of used engine oil, see
on page 28 .
To change the oil filter
1. Turn the oil filter counterclockwise to remove it.
2. Lightly lubricate the rubber seal on the new oil filter
with new oil.
3. To attach the oil filter, turn it clockwise by hand until
the rubber seal is in position, then tighten a half turn
more.
4. Fill with new oil as given in
engine oil level on page 24 .
5. Start the engine and let it idle for 3 minutes.
6. Stop the engine and make sure that the oil filter does
not leak.
7. Fill with oil to compensate for the oil held in the new
oil filter.

1. Remove the two screws, one on each side, and lift
off the transmission cover.
2. Make sure that the oil level in the transmission oil
tank is between the two horizontal lines on the tank.
3. Fill with engine oil if the oil level is below the lower
line, but do not fill above the top line.
