Fixed keypads will show "bF" for ANY AlarmNet radio trouble and will not be specific to
any problem. Connect an alpha keypad with will display a "Check 103" with a 4-digit
code which will identify the problem with the communicator. If more than one condition
exists, the hexadecimal values will be added together to provide a different 4-digit
code.
0000 - Control panel lost ECP communication with the communicator.
0880 - Communicator tamper detected (cover removed).
0005 - Communicator has lost contact with AlarmNet-G network.
4005 - Communicator has lost contact with AlarmNet.
000F - Communicator is not registered; account not activated.
0019 - Communicator shutdown.
0400 - Communicator power-on reset AND the panel lost communications with
communicator
0C80 - Communicator power on reset AND tamper detected.
0C8F - Communicator power on reset AND tamper detected AND not
registered.
08E0 - Communicator tamper detected and communicator battery low.
3000 - Primary power loss (will only be displayed in conjunction with another event).
8000 - Battery charger failure (will only be displayed in conjunction with another event).
0060 - Low battery (will only be displayed in conjunction with another event).
The dialer test was successful. This was initiated by the Installer Code + 5 + 1
command. CID code E601.
Walk Test mode is active. This was initiated with Installer Code + 5 + 0.
The dialer is disabled. This can only be done from Compass and can only be re-
enabled from Compass.
Telephone Line Fault Monitor has been enabled in *92 and the panel is not detecting at
least 3Vdc on the phone line.
The Auto Stay feature is enabled by default in *84. If the system is armed Away and an
Entry/Exit zone is not faulted during the exit delay, the system knows that no one left
the premise, therefore, it will revert to the Stay mode. You can either fault the Entry/Exit
zone during the exit delay or *84 can be disabled so it will maintain the Away mode if
the zone is not faulted during the exit delay.
When displayed without a zone number indicates the system battery is low or
disconnected. When displayed with a zone number indicates a wireless transmitter has
a low battery and needs to be changed.
Indicates a low battery exists on a wireless House ID keypad such as the 5828.
Check the charging circuit with the battery disconnected to make sure the panel is
providing 13.5Vdc. Reconnect the battery and put the panel into Walk Test mode
(Installer/Master code 50). This test mode will put a load on the battery for 2 minutes.
Use a digital multi meter to check the battery voltage. At this point, you will be reading
battery voltage instead of the charging voltage. If you see the voltage drop below
11.5Vdc (low battery threshold voltage) during the 2 minutes, then, the battery is
unable to hold a charge under a load and needs to be replaced. The panel will
automatically put a load test on the battery evert 4 hours to test its ability to hold a
charge under a load. If the battery is good at the end of this automatic test, the low
battery message will clear automatically.
