4-2-2 Setting the Shutter Mode/
Speed
Use the SHUTTER selector to select a shutter mode or
a standard mode shutter speed.

Use the procedure described in "4-6-2 Selecting
Display Items" on page 4-14 to set SHUTT to ON
on the VF DISPLAY page of the OPERATION
menu.

Push the SHUTTER switch from ON to SEL.
The current shutter setting appears for about three
seconds in the setting change/adjustment progress
message display area of the viewfinder screen.
Example: ":SS:1/250", ":ECS:45.2Hz"

Before the message in Step 2 disappers, push the
SHUTTER switch to SEL repeatedly until the
mode or speed that you want appears.

Note that all modes and all standard-mode speeds
listed in the table on page 4-6 are preselected at the
time of shipping. You can change these
preselected settings with the SHUTTER SPEED
page of the setup menu.

Super EVS mode
In CLR/ECS mode, you can change shutter speed
by turning the MENU SEL selector on the front of
the video camera. Press the MENU SEL control to
store the selected speed.
Once a shutter speed has been selected, it is stored
in memory even when the video camera is turned
off.
