The answering machine has already been preset for
you at the factory. You can however make individual
settings using the handset.

Set the number of rings

For remote operation, you can set how many times the
telephone rings before the answering machine is acti-
vated. You can choose between two to nine rings and
the automatic charge saving function.
With the automatic charge saving function (factory
default) the answering machine is activated after:
G 2 rings: there are new messages,
G 4 rings: no new messages have been received.
When operating remotely you then know that if the
telephone rings three times there are no new messag-
es– if you end the call now, no call charges are
incurred.
Open the menu.

Select the menu item and confirm.
Select the menu item and confirm.
Set the number of rings or the charge saving function
and confirm.
Explanation of the display:
AUTO automatic (least cost function)
2 RINGS The phone rings twice before the answering
machine becomes active.
9 RINGS The phone rings nine times.
