    Safety Instructions System Power When the Polycom PRS 2000 appliance is turned off by using the power switch, power may still be supplied to the motherboard. To ensure that the appliance is completely shut down, unplug its power cord from its power source.

    The A/V adapter cable is used to connect audio and video input sources to the Polycom PRS 2000 appliance and audio output from the appliance. Each cable of the A/V adapter is labeled. These labels identify the video and audio sources for proper connection of devices to the appliance.

    Polycom PRS 2000 Hardware Install Audio Out for Room Sound System The Audio output of the Polycom PRS 2000 appliance can be used to connect to the room sound system or to a PC speaker set. The A/V adapter cable provides a balanced line-level stereo audio out signal (Audio R Out, Audio L Out) via XLR connectors.

    The address of each camera is assigned during the VISCA initialization process. The camera addresses are 1, 2, 3, and so forth in order, starting from the one nearest the Polycom PRS 2000 COM port. The VISCA address is used Polycom, Inc.

Launch the Polycom PRS 2000 Operator Interface by double-clicking the PRS 2000 shortcut on your Windows desktop. Starting Capture and Preview Creating an Output Follow the steps below to define the different outputs as you wish for them to appear.

Multiple combinations of elements including visual layout, audio tracks, volume levels, aspect ratio, PTZ settings, output size and bit rate can be defined.

    Recording Your Capture Polycom PRS 2000 Software To use a preset: Drag and Drop the Video and Audio Outputs you want to put into the Preset: To create a new preset: Click on +PRESET. Enter a name. Enter a description.

Each output of your recording will be contained in a separate directory. Each recording is created in a directory named with the recording's date/time stamp.
