p lifie s the ha n d lin g o f the vehicle.
The in d ivid u a l gears are shifted
a u to m a tic a lly dep e n d e n t upon
se le ctor lever p o s itio n , ve h icle
speed and a c c e le ra to r p o sitio n.
Hint:
W hen the vehicle is parked o r being
w orked on w ith e n gine ru n n in g , be
sure to set p a rkin g brake and that
se le cto r lever is in p o s itio n " P" .
D riving:
S h ift se le cto r lever to the desired
d rivin g p o sitio n o n ly w hen the en­
gine is id lin g and the service brake
is applied. Do not release the brake
u n til ready to drive. The ve h icle may
o the rw ise start cre epin g w hen the
se le cto r lever is in a d riv in g p o si­
tion.

c e le ra to r a fte r having a ttaine d the
desired speed, the tra n s m is sio n w ill
s h ift up again.

The a u to m a tic gear s h iftin g process
can be adapted to s p e c ific o p e ra t­
ing c o n d itio n s by m eans o f the
s e le c to r lever.

The p a rkin g lo c k is an a d d itio ­
nal safeguard w hen p a rk in g the
vehicle. E ngage o n ly w ith the
car stop pe d.
" R" Reverse gear.
S h ift reverse gear o n ly w ith the
