Oil Level Check

Check the engine oil level with the engine stopped and in a level
position.
1. Rem ove the oil filler cap/dipstick and w ipe it clean.
2. Insert and rem ove the oil filler cap/dipstick w ithout screw ing it
into the oil filler neck. Check the oil level show n on the dipstick.
3. If the oil level is near or below the lower lim it m ark on the
dipstick, fill w ith the recom m ended oil (see page ) to the upper
lim it m ark. Do not overfill.
4. Screw in the filler cap/dipstick securely.
OIL FILLER NECK
Running the engine with a low oil level can cause engine damage.
The ''Oil Alert '' buzzer (applicable types) will warn you when
engine oil needs to be added to the crankcase. If the buzzer sounds,
stop the engine and add oil.

Oil Change

Drain the used oil w hen the engine is warm . Warm oil drains
quickly and completely.
1. Place a suitable container below the engine to catch the used oil,
then rem ove the oil filler cap/dipstick, oil drain plug and w asher.
2. Allow the used oil to drain com pletely, then reinstall the oil drain
plug and new w asher, and tighten the oil drain plug securely.
Please dispose of used m otor oil in a m anner that is com patible
w ith the environm ent. We suggest you take used oil in a sealed
container to your local recycling center or service station for
reclam ation. Do not throw it in the trash, pour it on the ground,
or down a drain.
3. With the engine in a level position, fill to the upper lim it m ark on
the dipstick w ith the recom m ended oil (see page ).
