SYMPTOM
TV
No picture, no sound.
Poor picture
Snow appears on the screen.
Picture is blurry. (Ghosts)
A
pattern
with
color
appears.
The color fades.
The screen looks snowy.
(Snow noise)
Remote control
The remote control does not
work properly.
• This unit uses a micro computer. Malfunctions may occur when there are external noises or obstructing
noises such as TV, radio, cellular phones, etc. If this unit doesn't operate normally, turn off the power once,
unplug the power cord from the AC outlet, then insert it in the AC outlet again after several seconds to turn
the power on and operate.
• As the LCD panel is manufactured with extremely precise technology, it has an effective pixel ratio of 99.99%
or greater. Although 0.01% or fewer pixels may not light or always stay lit, this is not a malfunction.

Should this product require service, refer to the SANYO AUDIO/VIDEO limited warranty.
If you do not have a convenient SANYO service station nearby, contact the SANYO dealer where you
purchased the unit. Be sure to give the model number and explain the problem. The dealer will advise you how
to obtain service.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• The screen is for the External input
mode.
• The 75 ohm coaxial cable is not con-
nected.
• The station may have broadcast
difficulties
• The signal is being jammed by a
vehicle boat, motorbike, train,
power cable, neon signs, vacuum
cleaner, hairdryer.
• The antenna is not facing in the right
orientation.
• The picture is affected by a backscat-
tering of radio waves from mountains
or buildings.
• The picture is affected by jamming
from other devices, e.g. TV, radio, PC,
Fax.
• The color or tint is not correctly
adjusted.
• The station may have broadcast
difficulties
• The antenna is not facing the right
orientation.
• The antenna wire is either cut off or
detached.
• The antenna is not facing the right
orientation.
• The batteries in the remote control
are installed incorrectly.
• The batteries in the remote control
are weak.
• The remote control is not pointed at
the remote sensor of the main unit.
• There is an obstacle in the path of the
remote control and the main unit.
• The remote control is too far from the
main unit.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
• Select the TV mode.
• Connect the 75 ohm coaxial cable into
the jack.
• Try another channel.
• Locate the antenna, antenna wires, or
unit away from the source of jamming.
• Adjust the orientation of the antenna
in the direction of the electric waves.
• Change the antenna position, height,
orientation.
• Turn off the power of the jamming
source.
• Adjust the color, tint.
• Try another channel.
• Adjust the orientation of the antenna
in the direction of the radio waves.
• Connect the antenna wire correctly.
• Adjust the orientation of the antenna
in the direction of the radio waves.
• Check the battery polarity (+ or –).
• Replace the batteries.
• Point the remote control at the remote
sensor of the unit (Within 30 degrees
horizontally left or right from the light
reception area.)
• Remove the obstacle.
• Operate the remote control within 20
feet (6 meters).
