Prerequisites

CAUTION: Do not keep the drive drawer open for more than three minutes.
NOTE: This is a field replaceable unit (FRU). Removal and installation procedures must be performed only by Dell certified
service technicians.
NOTE: You must remove a hard drive/SSD from the drive rails if you are replacing the hard drive/SSD with a new drive.
1 Ensure that you read the

3 Remove the hard drive/SSD from the drive rails.
Steps
1 Lay the hard drive/SSD on a flat surface with the connector side of the drive facing down.
2 Align the screw holes on the drive rails with the screw holes on the hard drive/SSD.
