ProgressiveScan(NonInterlaced)
For motion picture, it is a method by which
7
all rows of the picture are displayed, stored
or transmitted simultaneously. Therefore, a
sharper and flickerless image is obtained com-
pared to the standard video signal. Progres-
sive Scan provides a flickerless image as on
a computer monitor. In the interlaced scanning
which tires the eye more, it is intended to cre-
ate a full image impression by displaying the
odd rows first and then the even rows. Progres-
sive scanning is indicated by »p« in short. For
instance, for 480p and 720p your TV should
be »HD Ready«. In order to obtain 1080p
quality image, your TV should be »Full HD«.
In this case, you should use the HDMI connec-
tion.
DisplayingSubtitleFileswithsame
names
It is necessary that the video file and the subti-
7
tle file have the same name in order to display
subtitles.
Notes:
Writeable DVD discs (DVD-RW, DVD-R)
7
should be finalized; only the playback
mode is allowed in the recordable discs.
Playback may not work for some types of
discs, or when specific operations, such as
angle change and aspect ratio adjustment,
are being performed. Information about
the discs is written in detail on the disc box.
Please refer them when necessary.
Do not allow the disc to become dirty or
7
scratched. Fingerprints, dirt, dust, scratches
or deposits of cigarette smoke on the record-
ing surface may make it impossible to use
the disc for playback.
Windows Media Audio WMA (PCM) files
7
must be written to the disc with a .wma file
extension in order to be recognized and
played back properly.
JPEG picture files must be written to the disk
7
with a .jpeg or .jpg file extension in order to
be recognized and played back properly.
