    Section 1: Getting Started This section describes the first steps to operating your phone. SIM Card Information When you subscribe to cellular network services, you receive a plug-in Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card loaded with your subscription details, such as your PIN, and available optional services.

    Important!: The plug-in SIM card and its contacts can be easily damaged by scratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removing the SIM, and keep all SIM cards out of reach of children. Remove the back cover and battery. With the gold contacts facing down, slide the notched end of the SIM card completely into the socket.

    Charging the Battery Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery. Use the wall charger to charge the battery, and use only Samsung approved batteries and chargers. Note: You must fully charge the battery before using your phone for the first time.

    Your phone provides a number of control functions that you can use during a call. Adjusting the Call Volume During a call, if you want to adjust the earpiece volume, use the Volume keys on the left side of the phone. Press to increase the volume level and press the volume level.
