    Section 1: Getting Started This section describes how to start using your phone by activating your service and setting up your voice mail. Activating Your Phone When you subscribe to a wireless service, a SIM card is provided holding important information about your phone. This information includes your rate plan information, phone number and features.

    Removing the SIM Card To remove the SIM card, slide it away from socket as shown. Installing the Battery Align the gold contacts of the battery with the contacts in the battery compartment in the phone (1). Press the battery down until it clicks into place (2). Make sure that the battery is properly installed before switching on the phone.
  • Page 10 Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery. Use the travel adaptor to charge the battery, and use only Samsung approved batteries and chargers. Note: You must fully charge the battery before using your phone for the first time. A fully discharged battery requires up to 4 hours of charge time.
