Icons
Signal strength Shows the received signal strength.
The greater the number of bars, the better the
signal strength.
Service
Appears when a call is in progress.
No Service
Appears when you are outside a service area. With
it displayed, you cannot make or receive calls.
New Message
Indicates that there is a new message waiting to be
checked, regardless of the message type.
Vibration
Once this option is set, the phone vibrates when a
incoming call or a message comes.
Alarm
Appears when you set an alarm clock.
Battery status
Shows the level of your battery. The more bar you
see, the more power you have left.
Voice Message Appears when you receive a voice message.
Silent (LED)
Appears when Call Alert Type is set Silent (LED)
Today Schedule Indicates that there is a today schedule.
Roaming
Appears when you are out of your home area
and have registered with a different network
(when traveling in other countries, for example).

Backlight

The display and keypad are illuminated by a backlight. When you press any
key, the backlight illuminates. It turns off if no key is pressed within a given
period of time, depending on the Backlight option set in the Display –
Backlight menu (1–5).
To specify the length of time the phone waits before the backlight turns off,
set the Backlight menu.

Installing a RUIM Card

When you subscribe to a mobile network, you are provided with a plug-in RUIM
card loaded with your subscription details (PIN, optional services available and
so on).
The plug-in RUIM card and its contacts can be easily damaged by
scratches or bending, so be careful when handling, inserting or

removing the card. Follow the instructions supplied with the RUIM
card. Keep all RUIM cards out of the reach of small children.

Switch the phone off to press and
hold down the
key.

To remove the battery:
Pull the battery lock above the
battery toward the top of the phone
and hold it in the position.
Lift the battery away, as shown.

Insert RUIM card into the cardholder.
Be sure that cut corner is at the top
left and the gold contacts of the card
face into the phone.
Don't insert SIM card of GSM service operator.
Your phone supports only CDMA RUIM card.
