Formatting a SMC or built-in memory
You can use the MEMORY FORMAT functions to completely delete all
images and options on a SmartMediaCard and built-in memory,
including protected images.
The format function restores a SmartMediaCard and built-in memory to
initial state.
The SmartMediaCard supplied with this camcorder has already been
formatted.
Attention If you execute the MEMORY FORMAT function,
all images will be completely erased and erased
images can not be recovered.

1. Set the mode switch to DSC.

2. Set the power switch to CAMERA mode.
3. Press the ENTER button to enter the menu
and select the MEMORY FORMAT.
4. Press the ENTER button.
The sub menu appears.
5. Using the MENU DIAL, select the item.
NO : To return to main menu
YES : To start formatting.
6. Press the ENTER button.
"DO YOU FORMAT" appears on the
screen.
7. Using the MENU DIAL, select YES or NO and press the ENTER button.
If you select YES, Formatting starts and "MEMORY FORMAT" is
blinking on the screen.
If you select NO, you return to sub menu.
8. To exit the menu, press the MENU ON/OFF button.

Formateo de una SMC o de la memoria incorporada
Puede utilizar las funciones de MEMORY FORMAT para suprimir com-
pletamente todas las imágenes y opciones de una tarjeta SmartMedia
y la memoria incorporada, incluidas las imágenes protegidas.
La función de formateo restablece la tarjeta SmartMedia y la memoria
incorporada a su estado inicial.

7. Con el disco selector MENU, seleccione NO o YES y pulse el botón
ENTER.
Si selecciona YES, empieza el formateo y la indicación "MEMORY
FORMAT" parpadea en la pantalla.
Si selecciona NO, volverá al submenú.
8. Para salir del menú, pulse el botón MENU ON/OFF.
(sólo en SCD75/D77)
Si ejecuta la función MEMORY FORMAT, se bor-
rarán todas las imágenes completamente y no
podrán recuperarse.
1. Ponga el interruptor de modo en DSC.
2. Coloque el interruptor de encendido en
modo CAMERA.
3. Pulse el botón ENTER para entrar en el
menú y seleccione MEMORY FORMAT.
4. Pulse el botón ENTER.
Aparece el submenú.
5. Con el disco selector MENU, seleccione la
opción.
NO: Para volver al menú principal
YES: Para iniciar el formateo.
6. Pulse el botón ENTER.
El mensaje "DO YOU FORMAT" aparece
en la pantalla.
