NO-IDI appliances with
Sankyo ice maker
Claim of 'no ice cubed
delivery'?
Check if the solenoid fit beside
the AC motor is working when
Ice dispensing paddle is
pressed and freezer
compartment door is closed
(Ice section child lock not
activated).
If there is no activation of the
solenoid, check the correct
connection of the wiring
involved to activate the
solenoid and check the
solenoid coil with a multimeter
(resistance value ~16 Ω).
If all the above is OK, the
problem comes from the User
Interface board. Change it and
pay attention to the handling.
On Biruni appliances:

Check if the AC motor is working when Ice
dispensing paddle is pressed and freezer
compartment door is closed (Ice section
child lock not activated).
If there is no activation of the AC motor,
check the correct connection of the wiring
involved to activate the AC motor and
check the AC motor coil with a multimeter
(resistance value ~16 Ω).
If all the above is OK, check the
functionality of the micro switch for the ice
dispensing paddle and the correct contact
from the pedal to the switch. Check all
connection from the motor, microswitch
and electronic board.
NOTE: On NO-IDI appliances, the AC motor
is driven directly by the microswitch. The User
Interface and the Main Board are not involved
in the AC motor activation.
