1.
In play-standby mode, press the MENU button. You will enter Setup mode.

Turn the VALUE dial to select the desired item from the setup menu.
Select 03: Delete File and then press the ENTER button.
* If you decide not to continue, you can press the EXIT button or MENU button to leave
Setup mode.

Now you can choose the file that you want to delete. Turn the VALUE dial to select
the file that you want to delete, and then press the ENTER button.
* If you press the EXIT button or MENU button, you will exit Setup mode.
* If there is no file to delete, the display will indicate No Song.
4.
The display will ask "OK to delete? [ENTER]"
If you're sure you want to delete the file you selected in step 3, press the ENTER
button.
The display will indicate "Now working...Do not remove card!" and then will
indicate "Completed!"

Don't remove the CompactFlash card while a file is being deleted.
Then you will automatically return to the Setup mode screen.
5.
If you're finished, press the EXIT button or the MENU button.
If you want to delete another file, press the ENTER button. You will return to step
3.
If you want to choose another menu item, turn the VALUE dial to select it (instead
of pressing the ENTER button). To make settings for the menu item you select, use
the appropriate procedure as listed in "System settings (Setup mode)" (p. 54).
