Panasonic TGP500/TGP550 Handset Quick Start Guide
This document serves as a phonespecific guide to usual functions using the handset. This
guide serves to augment the overall Installation/Quick start guide... it does not replace it.
Please review both guides, as well as the Panasonic User Guide (supplied with each
phone unit) for further details.
The Deskphone works identically to the handset, with the Menu bottom located on the
right, and allowing for the fact that there is a dedicated Hold and Voicemail button.

Hit Middle "Menu" button.
Downward to "Toolbox" icon
Select Network Settings
Select IP Settings
Read off IP address (i.e. 192.168.1.2)
Hit Menu button, then down to Toolbox

- Page 2 Hit <Talk> to pick up call. Putting a call on Hold When you are on a call. a soft key will be displayed on Screen that says “Hold”. Press the button above the Talk key to put the call on Hold. the caller will immediately hear hold music, and you can make or receive another call. Switching between Calls A soft key will appear that allows you to toggle between calls on hold. Hanging up a call Press “Off” Call transfer While on a call, you can Press the Menu key and scroll down and Select either “Transfer” (which is attended transfer) or “Blind Transfer”. After hitting the key, enter the extension number. You can at any time hit the soft key entitled “Trans” to connect the 2 parties on the attended “Transfer”. Alternatively, you can enter #1<ext> or #2<ext> for Blind or Attended Transfer respectively. Conferencing two calls together the Panasonic supports one (of a possible two)ways of doing this: 1) If you have a current call, you can hit “Menu”, and scroll down and select “Conference”, which will place the call on Hold, and give you a dial tone to dial another number. When that number is connected, you will hit the “Conf” softkey to connect all three parties together. Voicemail Pickup For picking up “My voicemail” (equivalent to dialing 801): Select the Menu key Scroll down to the bottom icon and select Enter your Voicemail password at the prompt. On the Deskphone unit, depress the flashing Voicemail button.
