A white DIMM slot indicates the first slot of a channel (2-A, 4-B).
Memory speed support depends on the type of processor installed. For more information, see the
technical specification of the installed processor.
The server supports up to 2400 MT/s ECC UDIMMs.
The server supports up to 64 GB (4x16 GB) UDIMMs.
The server does not support:
RDIMMs
Non-ECC UDIMMs
When installing DIMMs:
Populate the DIMM slots in this sequence: 2-A, 4-B, 1-C, 3-D.
Use HPE-qualified UDIMMs.

Procedure
1.
Back up all server data.
2.
Power down the server.
3.
Disconnect the power cord from the power source and the server.
4.
Remove the bezel.
5.
Place the server on its side with the access panel facing up.
6.
Remove the access panel.
7.
Remove the air baffle.
8.
Open the DIMM slot latches.
9.
Install the DIMM.

10. Install the air baffle.
11. Install the access panel.
12. Install the bezel.
13. Return the server to an upright position.
14. Connect the power cord to the power source and the server.
15. Power up the server.
Use the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) in the UEFI System Utilities to configure the memory mode.
