    Features & Controls SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEM *2387 Your rider is equipped with a seat switch safety system that will automatically shut the engine off when the oper- ator leaves the seat with the ground speed control lever in gear or PTO engaged. Once the engine has stopped, the electric PTO switch must be turned off after operator returns to the seat in order to start the engine.

    Operation GENERAL WARNING Never allow passengers to ride on the unit. Before operating this rider for the first time, the owner should operate in an open area without mowing, to become accustomed to the unit. The left side of the WARNING mower can be used to trim close to objects.

    Operation WARNING Gasoline is highly flammable and must be han- dled with care. Never fill the tank when the engine is still hot from recent operation.     Normal Care SCHEDULE The following schedule should be followed for normal care of your rider and mower. You will need to keep a record of your operating time. Determining operating time is easily accomplished by multiplying the time it takes to do one job by the number of times you’ve done the job, or you can install the optional hour meter.
