Using the TV/VCR's Features

Front Panel Block

Selecting this option lets you block (disable) or unblock (enable) the TV/VCR's front panel. The
remote still tunes to any channel. Front Panel Block can:
Keep children from watching TV when the parent is not present.
Keep young children from playing with the buttons.
(When using this as a Parental Control method, you should remove access to any remote that is
capable of operating the television while you have the front panel blocked.)
Don't forget to lock parental controls after you change the status. If you do not, the front panel
block will not take effect.
To set Front Panel Block:
1. With the TV/VCR on, press and hold the POWER button on the remote for approximately 6
seconds. The indicator in the Power button flashes.
The indicator in the Power button flashes if the STOP/EJECT or POWER buttons on the
front panel are pushed but nothing will happen.
2. To turn off the Front Panel Block, press and hold the POWER button for 6 seconds.

Lock/Unlock Parental Controls

Selecting this option lets you lock and unlock parental controls settings using a
password.
If you do not lock parental controls, none of the settings for V-Chip
Rating Limits or Unrated Programs will take effect.
If you forget your password, simultaneously press STOP/EJECT on the TV/VCR
front panel and MENU on the remote. This resets the password, but not the
limits you've set.
To Lock/Unlock Parental Controls:
1. Press MENU to display the TV/VCR MAIN MENU.
2. Select Parental Controls (press 4).
3. Select Lock Parental Controls (press 4).
4. Use the number buttons on your remote to enter a four-digit password.
Press CLEAR to make any corrections and MENU to exit.
