COOLING FAN
FAN DRIVE
The thermomodulate cooling fan used in the 1989 RX-7 has 10 blades and a s1ngle bear1ng 1nstead of 8
blades and double bearing of the previous model, which result in improved cooling performance. The cool-
ing fan drive characteristics is the same as the previous model but the fan-dr1ve 1s not Interchangeable be-
cause the water pump shaft bearing mounting diameter is larger.
