Note: For optimal performance, your phone should be
at least 12 inches (30 centimeters) from the TTY
device. Placing the phone too close to the TTY device
may cause high error rates.
set TTY mode
ù When you set your phone to a TTY mode, it
operates in that mode whenever a TTY device is
connected.

TTY Setup can include these options:

Voice Return to normal voice mode.
TTY Transmit and receive TTY characters.
VCO Receive TTY characters but transmit
by speaking into microphone.
HCO Transmit TTY characters but receive
by listening to earpiece.
When your phone is in a TTY mode during an active
call, your phone displays the international TTY mode,
the international TTY symbol, and the mode setting.
return to voice mode
To return to standard voice mode, select Voice from the
TTY Setup menu.
