Mode selector switch

SIMOTION D410-2 provides a mode selector switch (PLC) behind the blanking cover in the
lower area of the front panel.

Always use an insulated screwdriver to turn the rotary switch. Otherwise, static electricity
can destroy the switch!

Meaning
No service/diagnostic function activated
The non-volatile SIMOTION data of the SIMOTION D410-2 is first deleted and then
restored with the contents of the PMEMORY backup file.
SIMOTION D410-2 control units and projects can be upgraded using upgrade data
created previously. This upgrade data is generated with the device update tool
("Project > Start device update tool" menu in SIMOTION SCOUT).
If the upgrade process fails to bring about the desired result, the upgrade can be
rejected by means of the switch position. This will roll the system back to the previous
configuration.
The diagnostic data and non-volatile SIMOTION data can be backed up in STOP,
STOPU, and RUN state. The advantage of backing up in RUN state is the availability
of enhanced diagnostic information (via websites) and TO alarm information.
