Paddle Shift
On the 2009 Accord Euro, a single action on the steering wheel paddle shift is used to engage up-shifting and
down-shifting.
For example, if you want to decelerate slightly while driving in fourth or fifth gear in the D position, you can
down-shift by operating the left hand paddle shift located just behind the steering wheel.
At this time, the selected gear is displayed on the shift indicator on the combination meter.
When the ECM/PCM assesses the driving conditions as cruise driving, the mode returns to the normal
automatic gear shift mode in the D position, approximately 2 seconds.
