To select the aspect ratio

Press (HOME), then touch "USB
Video."

Touch "Zoom Settings."
The options are indicated below.
"Normal": Picture with 4:3 aspect ratio (regular
picture).
"Wide": Picture with 4:3 aspect ratio enlarged
to the left and right edges of the screen.
"Off": Picture with full size.

Playing USB Photo

Open the USB cover, then connect the
USB device to the USB connector with
a USB cable (not supplied).

Press (HOME), then touch "USB
Photo."

Touch "All pictures," or "Folders," to
start playback.
To select a photo file

During playback, touch
The photo list appears.

Touch the desired item.
Playback starts.
Note
This creates folders called "Sony Automotive" on the
USB device.
About the playback controls and
indications
You can control USB playback in the same way
as disc playback. For details, see "Playback
controls" on page 18.
For details on playback indications, see
"Playback indications" on page 19.
To stop playback
Press and hold (SOURCE/OFF) for 1 second.
To disconnect the USB device
Stop playback, then disconnect.
Do not disconnect during playback, as data in the
USB device may be damaged.
Notes on use
• Do not use USB devices so large or heavy that they
may fall down due to vibration, or cause a loose
connection.
• Do not leave a USB device in a parked car, as
malfunction may result.
• This unit cannot recognize USB devices via a USB
hub.
• Be sure to use the USB cable supplied with the
device if a cable is needed when making a USB
connection.
Notes on playback
• Select "USB Music," "USB Video," or "USB Photo"
depending on the file type of USB device.
• Displayed indications will differ, depending on the
USB device, recorded format and settings. For
details, visit the support site on the back cover.
• The maximum number of displayable data is as
follows:
– folders (albums): 256
– files (tracks): 10,000
• It may take time for playback to begin, depending on
the amount of recorded data.
• DRM (Digital Rights Management) files may not be
played.
• During playback or reverse/fast-forward of a VBR
(Variable Bit Rate) MP3/WMA/AAC file, elapsed
playing time may not display accurately.
• Playback of a lossless compression file is not
supported.

Repeat and shuffle play

During playback, touch "Repeat"
or "Shuffle"
desired option appears.
Repeat or shuffle play starts.
The repeat options are as follows:

For Music playback
"OFF": Returns to normal play mode.
"1 Track Repeat": Repeats the current music
file.
"All Repeat": Repeats the all current album
(folder).
For Photo playback
"OFF": Returns to normal play mode.
"All Repeat": Repeats the all current album
(folder).
The shuffle options are as follows:
For Music playback
"OFF": Returns to normal play mode.
"All": Plays music files in the all current album
(folder) in random order.
To close the play menu, touch "Play Menu."
