Do not screw the safety cap onto the steam
generator and do not switch it on while there is
still descaling solution in it.
• Empty out the solution and rinse out the steam
generator 2 or 3 times with fresh water.

5. Troubleshooting

• During relatively long pauses between ironing
drops of water come out of the steam iron!
During relatively long pauses between ironing it
is possible for steam to condense in the steam
line. Direct the first burst of steam on to a
separate cloth.
• The steam iron "splutters out" water!
Set temperature regulator to setting
Rinse out or descale steam generator.
• The steam iron does not get hot!
Check to see if the power plug of the steam
iron is plugged into the plug connector strip and
to see if the master switch is switched on.

6. Guarantee
The guarantee terms issued by our authorized
marketing company are valid in every country. We
remedy any fault to the unit free of charge within
the guarantee period, providing the cause of the
fault proves to be a material or manufacturing
error.
Should you wish to call upon the guarantee,
please apply to your dealer or nearest authorized
customer service centre taking the unit with you
as well as its accessories and bill of sale. Kärcher
accepts no liability for damage which might occur
as a result of improper usage or non-observance
of the operating instructions.
7. Ultimate disposal
The unit is constructed in accordance with the
Association of German Engineers' guideline 2243
relating to recycling. At the end of its operating
life the materials which make up the unit can be
submitted for recycling.
8. Accessories
Use only accessories and spare parts which are
approved by the manufacturer.
You will find on the last page an illustration of the
unit with order numbers of each individual part.
