10.3 Overheat and Short Standby Time

Symptom
The phone gets overheated after startup, and the standby time is short.
Solution

Test the VBAT's ground impedance. If the impedance is less than 5 kohms, the problem
is probably caused by the PCBA.

Test the power-off current. If the current exceeds 1 mA, the problem is caused by the
PCBA.

Test the power-on and standby currents. If both currents exceed the normal values, the
problem is probably caused by the PCBA.
If the preceding items are proved normal, the problem is caused by the battery. Replace the
battery.
