INSPECTION DETAILS - B. LOCKS AND LIGHTS
OUTER FOOTLIGHT
DOOR LOCK SYSTEM AND ILLUMINATED
ENTRY SYSTEM
a )Check that all doors open and close smoothly using the
inside and outside door handles.
b )Check that the doors cannot be opened by using the
inside and outside door handles when the lock button is
in the locked position (except front inside door handles).
c )For front inside door handles: Check that the front doors
can be opened by using the inside door handles when
the lock button is in the lock position.
d )Check exterior key lock control system operation by
mechanical key (with driver's door).
Locks both side doors

Unlocks the door (two-step unlock function):

1. Turn the key once to unlock the driver's door.
2. Turn the key twice to unlock all the doors.
e) Check that the outer footlight illuminates when the
door is opened.

REMOTE ENGINE STARTER*

a )Starting the Engine
1. Close and lock all doors.
2. Quickly press
for 3 seconds.
NOTE:
When the engine starts, the hazard lights will flash for
20 seconds.
b )Stopping the Engine
1. Press or press and hold

twice and then press and hold
for 2 seconds.
