Step One
Installing Batteries In the Transmitter
1. Use a Phillips
screwdriver to
loosen the screw
from the battery
compartment, and
remove the cover.
2. Place a 9 V battery
(not supplied) in the
compartment as
indicated by the
polarity symbols
(+ and –).
3. Replace the cover and secure it with the
screw.
Battery Notes
Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly.
Do not burn or bury batteries.
Use only fresh batteries of the required size and
recommended type.
Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of
batteries or rechargeable batteries of different
capacities.
If you do not plan to use the bug for several days,
remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals
that can damage electronic parts.
Batteries purchased for use in this toy may pose a
hazard to children. Please check safety notice
supplied with batteries before use.
Step Two
Replacing Batteries in the Bug
1. Turn off the Bug.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen
the screw from the battery
compartment, and remove the cover.
3. Remove the old batteries and place
three new AA batteries in the
compartment as indicated by the
polarity symbols (+ and –).
4. Replace the cover and secure it with
the screw.

Driving the Honey Bee I Bug
ON/OFF is set to ON when shipping. Slide it
once to OFF and then to ON.
Use the transmitter's control buttons to drive
and steer the Bug.

When you finish driving the Bug, turn it off.
Notes
If you do not play with the Bug for about five minutes
while it is turned on, it goes into sleep mode. To
restart the Bug, slide
ON

When the Bug goes outside the transmitter's range,
it stops. Hold the transmitter as high as possible
(with the antenna vertical) to try to re-establish
contact. Continue to move closer to the Bug until
you can control it with the transmitter.

    Helpful Hints • Your bug works best on firm surface (but not slippery) such as a wooden or tile floor. • Running your bug continuously for long periods of time generates high heat levels. Heat causes wear and tear on motor. To keep heat level down, cool your bug at least 10 minutes before installing fresh batteries.
