Thank you for purchasing the Salton Desk Fan . All Salton Appliances are
manufactured with the strictest standards to ensure your satisfaction.
When using electrical appliances basic safety precautions should always be followed:
1. Read all instructions and save them for future reference.
2. Do not touch moving parts, always take caution when close to the appliance and
never put objects into the grille when the unit is in operation.
3. Never touch the appliance with wet / damp hands or feet.
4. To protect against electrical hazards never immerse cord, plugs or the appliance
in water or any other liquid.
5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children or
invalid persons.
6. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
has malfunctioned in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest Amalgamated
Appliances authorised service centre.
7. Never use outdoors or expose to rain, sun etc.
8. Do not let cord hang over a counter top or table edge or place near any hot surfaces.
9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
10. This appliance is intended for household use only. Do not use appliances for other
than its intended use.
11. Never leave the unit unattended whilst in use.
12. Never attempt to open or dismantle any part of this appliance. Responsibility for failure to an
appliance cannot be accepted if this instruction has been ignored.
13. Do not cover this appliance when in use.
14. Always select "0" from the speed selection buttons and switch off at the wall socket before
removing the plug.
15. Always ensure the fan is placed on a flat surface.
16. It is not advisable to expose babies or elderly people to a continuous cold air stream for
a long period of time.
If necessary to replace the plug, always ensure that it is connected as follows
