Specification
The
only
way
to
store
information
on
a diskette
is
to
put
it
in
a
disk
file.
Afterwards,
that
information can be
retrieved via the
file
name
you gave
the
file
when
you
created or
renamed
it.
A
file
specification
has
the
general form:

filename
consists
of
a
letter^
or
numbers.
fextis
an
optional
name-extensipn;

ext'
is
a
sequence
of
up
to
three
letters
or
numbers,
starting
with a
letter.
password^
an
optional
password;
'password'
is
a
sequence
of
up
to
eight
letters
or
numbers,
starting
with a
letter.
:d
is
an
optional disk-drive
specification;

is
one
of
the
digits
Note: There can be
no
blank spaces
inside a
file
specification,
trsdos
terminates
the
file
specification
at
the
first
blank
space.
