Pin assignment of the X3 plug on the rear
Connector X3 is located on the back of the PS598-1. Connector X3 is intended only to
connect the PS598-1 directly to SCALANCE XR-528-6M and SCALANCE XR552-12M.

Connect the IE switch and the PS598-1 with one cable for 24 VDC and a cable for ground.
As an alternative, you can also mount the PS598-1 on the rear of the IE switch and secure it
with screws. In this case, no extra cables are necessary. You will find detailed information in
the section "Installation (Page 29)".
