Customizing the piano sound

You can create your own piano tones and save the tone settings you have created.

Press the One Touch Program [Piano] button.

Touch <Options>.
A "Functions screen" like the following appears.
Adjusts the opening of the grand piano's lid. Setting a smaller value closes the lid more and creates
Lid
a milder sound. The lid opens more as the value is increased, producing a brighter sound.
You can adjust the resonance (Sympathetic Resonance) that becomes audible when the damper
Resonance
pedal is depressed.
You can play classical styles such as Baroque using historic temperaments (tuning methods). By
Tuning
playing in the temperament that was in use when a composition was created, you can experience
the sonorities of chords originally intended for that song.
Adjusts the amount of time from when a key is played to when the piano tone sounds. The sound
Hammer
is delayed more as the slider is moved towards "Slow". This setting is applied to all tones played
Response
with the keyboard.
When the keys are pressed on an acoustic piano, the strings for keys that are already pressed also

vibrate sympathetically. The function used to reproduce this resonance is called "String
Resonance
Resonance."
Adjusts the keyboard touch. The touch changes from "Light" to "Heavy". This setting is applied to
Key Touch
all tones played with the keyboard.
Touch one of the fields to
select the function you
want to set.
