Components (Rear)

This section describes the controllers and the power supply units in the rear of the controller enclosure.
Controller
The controller contains a CPU, system memory, host interfaces, Bootup and Utility Device (BUD), and drive
interface (DI) ports. The controller controls all operations in the ETERNUS AF.

Host interface (CA#0)

FST (LAN) port
A port that is dedicated for maintenance engineers. Customers must not use this port.

RMT (LAN) port
This port is used for connecting a LAN cable and used for the remote support function. This port uses an
RJ-45 connector.

MNT (LAN) port
This port is used for connecting a LAN cable and used for operation management. This port uses an RJ-45
connector.
8.
DI (OUT) port
This port is used to connect a controller enclosure to a drive enclosure with a mini SAS HD cable between
enclosures.
