Adjusting the Volume

You can control the volume using the volume control buttons or
the volume control program.

You can control the volume by pressing the volume control button
on the left side of the computer.

Click the Volume icon on the taskbar and slide the volume
control bar to adjust the volume.

The procedures to record sound using the Windows Recorder are
described below.
These descriptions are written based on Windows 7, the latest
operating system. Therefore, some descriptions and fi gures
may diff er from your operating system. But as the usage is
similar to other Windows operating systems, you can use
these descriptions for reference.

Connect a microphone to the microphone jack.
You can also use the internal MIC.

Right-click over the Volume icon
Recording Device.

Check if the microphone is set as the default recording
device.
If this is the case, it is already set as the default device. If not,
right-click over the microphone and select Set default.

Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Sound Recorder
and click Start recording to start a recording.
