1.1 Symbology
Warnings
Warnings in this document are identified by a
warning triangle printed against a grey
background.
Keywords at the start of a warning indicate the
type and seriousness of the ensuing risk if
measures to prevent the risk are not taken.
The following keywords are defined and can be used in this
document:
• NOTICE indicates a situation that could result in damage to
property or equipment.
• CAUTION indicates a situation that could result in minor to
medium injury.
• WARNING indicates a situation that could result in severe
injury or death.
• DANGER indicates a situation that will result in severe injury
or death.
Important information
This symbol indicates important information
where there is no risk to people or property.

1.2 Safety instructions

If you smell gas:
▶ Close the gas shut-off valve.
▶ Open the windows.
▶ Do not switch on any electrical switches.
▶ Extinguish possible flames.
▶ Contact from another location to the gas company and to an
authorized service Bosch.
If you smell gas flue:
▶ Switch the appliance off.
▶ Open doors and windows.
▶ Request a visit from an authorized service Bosch.
Assembly, modifications
▶ The appliance's assembly, as well as the installation
modifications can only be carried out by an authorized
service Bosch.
▶ The ducts that conduct the gas flue should not be modified.
▶ Do not close or reduce the openings for air circulation.
Maintenance
▶ The maintenance of the appliance should only be carried out
by an authorized service Bosch.
▶ The user of the appliance should ensure, within regular
intervals, technical interventions of control and
maintenance of the appliance.
▶ The appliance should be maintained annualy.
▶ Only original spare parts should be used.
Highly flammable and explosive materials
▶ Flammable materials should not be stored or used (paper,
solvents, paint, etc.) near the appliance.
Combustion air and ambient air
▶ To avoid corrosion, combustion air and ambient air should
be free from aggressive substances (e.g. halogenated
hydrocarbons which contain chlorine and fluorine
compounds).
Clarifications for the user
▶ Inform the user about the operation and handling of the
appliance.
▶ Inform the user that he/she should not perform
modifications or repairs on their own.
Damages caused by errors of use
Errors of use may cause material or personal damages.
▶ Ensure that children do not play with the appliance or use it
without the supervision of an adult.
▶ Ensure that the users are well instructed on how to operate
the appliance.
