Power Up/System Reset

SYSTEM STABILIZATION MODE: Upon power-up of the system and after completion of
system programming, if the system was previously armed, all the lights on the LED
keypad(s) turn ON momentarily or, in the case of an LCD display installation, the keypad(s)
display "STANDBY!" However, the zones will not respond to alarm conditions for
approximately 2 minutes. The 2-minute interval is used to allow motion detectors (interior
zones) to stabilize in order to prevent false alarms. This 2-minute delay can be disabled by
shorting the yellow and black keypad wires (reduces the power-up reset time to
approximately 5 seconds). Upon system power-up, if the system was previously disarmed, the
power-up reset time is approximately 5 seconds. If total system power is lost, upon power
restoral, the system returns to its previously armed state.
