Battery Maintenance

Remove the battery and recharge it as outlined on page 97. Store the
battery in a cool, dry place.
Engine Anti-Freeze
Test engine coolant strength and change if necessary. Coolant should
be replaced every two years.
Storage Area/Covers
Set the tire pressure and safely support the ATV with the tires 1-2" off
the ground. Be sure the storage area is well ventilated, and cover the
machine with a genuine Polaris ATV cover. NOTE: Do not use plastic
or coated materials. They do not allow enough ventilation to prevent
condensation, and may promote corrosion and oxidation.

Transporting the ATV

Follow these procedures when
transporting the vehicle.
1. Turn off the engine and remove
the key to prevent loss during
transporting.
2. Place the transmission in park
and lock the parking brake.
3. Be sure the fuel cap, oil cap
and seat are installed securely.
4. Always tie the frame of the
ATV to the transporting unit
securely with suitable straps or
rope. Do not attach tie straps
to the front A-arm bolt
pockets.
