Event Processor Daemon (EPD) Utility

Event Processor Daemon (EPD) Utility
The Event Processor Daemon (EPD) is the central control for the
Phoenix Card Agent. It runs in the background along with your other
Windows programs and monitors all aspects of your PC Card
sockets. It is responsible for ensuring that every attempt is made to
successfully configure your PC Cards, and in the event of a failure,
it along with other Phoenix Card Manager components, help you to
diagnose the failure and apply countermeasures in an effort to make
your PC Card operative.
Normally, the EPD does not interact directly with you, the user;
instead, if you need to view, control, modify, analyze, or otherwise
understand your PC Card sockets, use the CardAgent Utility
described on page B-10.
