25.4 Firmware

The MADIface USB is internally based on programmable logic. By re-programming both func-
tion and behaviour of the unit can be changed at any time.
At the time of writing this manual the MADIface USB is shipped with firmware 22. The firmware
version is displayed in the Settings dialog as well as the Firmware Update Tool.
Firmware 19: Initial release.
Firmware 20: New sync option via BNC input: AES and word clock. An AES3 audio signal can
even be recorded.
Firmware 22: USB 2 now compatible to the Corning USB 3 optical cable. Supports 32 samples
ASIO buffer size.
