System lock/Safety lock

The system lock and safety lock are
deactivated if there is a power
outage.
Three-finger control is the default
setting. You can change the default to
one-finger control (see
"Programming").
Your cooktop is equipped with a safety
lock to prevent the cooktop and the
cooking zones being turned on or any
settings being altered
The system lock is activated when the
cooktop is turned off. When it is
activated, the cooktop cannot be turned
on and the timer cannot be used. The
cooktop is programmed so that the
system lock must be activated
manually. It can be programmed to be
activated automatically 5 minutes after
the cooktop has been turned off if the
system lock is not manually activated
first (see "Programming").
The safety lock is activated when the
cooktop is turned on. When the safety
lock is activated, the cooktop can be
operated only under certain conditions:
– The power levels for the cooking
zones and the timer settings cannot
be changed.
– The cooking zones, entire cooktop,
and the timer can be turned off, but
once turned off cannot be turned on
again.
