You can mount the device in the following locations:

Standalone on a table top or flat surface.
∙
In a four-post 19 in. (48.3 cm) EIA rack:
– Use the 8U Chassis Flush Mount Rack Kit for Four-Post Racks (XBR-RMK-FL-4)
– Refer to Installing the 8U Chassis Flush Mount Rack Kit for Four-Post Racks (XBR-RMK-FL-4)
instructions.

In a four-post 19 in. (48.3 cm) EIA rack using an intake air duct kit:
– Use the Four-Post Flush Mount Intake Air Duct Rack Kit (XBR-RMK-FL-4DS-2)
– Use the Four-Post Recessed Mount Intake Air Duct Rack Kit (XBR-RMK-RE-4DS-2)
– Refer to Four-Post Flush and Recessed Mount Intake Air Duct Rack Kit Installation (XBR-RMK-FL-4DS-2 and XBR-
RMK-RE-4DS-2)

CAUTION
Do not use the port cover tabs to lift the module. They are not designed to support the weight of the module, which can fall and
be damaged.

Make sure the airflow around the front, sides, and back of the device is not restricted.
