    B A S I C O P E R A T I O N 1. BATTERIES Remove the battery compartment cover by pushing it in the direction of the arrow. Install two ‘AA’ batteries according to the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked next to the compartment.

DAYTIME LISTENING Shortwave listening is generally at its poorest during the day- light hours of about two hours after sunrise until about two hours before sunset.
