Differential Field

Differential receiver status is indicated in the bottom left fi eld of the page and will show one of the
following conditions:
None: No optional beacon receiver is attached or enabled in the 'Com 1' or 'Com 2' tab (Setup
Tab of the Main Menu) or WAAS is turned Off.
Searching for WAAS: WAAS is enabled and the receiver is searching for WAAS signal.
Using WAAS: WAAS capability is enabled and the unit is receiving WAAS corrections.
Check Beacon Wiring: The DGPS setting is enabled in the Comm tab (Main Menu) but no DGPS
device is detected.
No Beacon Signal: DGPS receiver is attached, but not transmitting RTCM data to GPS.
Tuning Beacon: Receiver is tuning manual DGPS frequency.
Using Differential: Unit is receiving DGPS corrections.
Scanning for Beacon: DGPS receiver is scanning for available frequency.

GPS Tab Options Menu

When the GPS Tab is open, press the MENU key to open the GPS Tab Options Menu:
Start/Stop Simulator – activates and deactivates simulator mode, which is particularly helpful when
learning how to use your unit.
WAAS On – enables WAAS capability. Refer to the "Appendix" for more information about WAAS.
Track/ North Up – orients the skyview display between a north up or track up for the GPS Tab only.
New Altitude – allows you to manually enter your altitude.
New Location – allows you to enter a new location automatically or using the map.
