Setting the analog
recording level
Compared to analog tape, the distortion
that you get from overloading a CD is
much less tolerable, and something you'll
definitely want to avoid.

What you want to aim for is a level where
the loudest sound from your source
material is recorded onto the CD at a level

just below the point where it overloads

(where it produces an unpleasant, buzzy
distortion).

choose the analog input.
