Connect the Discussion Devices (2) in a daisy‑chain configuration to the 'Trunk'
connectors at the rear of the Control Unit (1). A maximum of 40 Discussion Devices can
be daisy‑chained to each trunk connector. It is recommended to connect equal numbers
of Discussion Devices to each trunk output. If you want to connect extension cables (3)
to the system cabling, follow the instructions in Number of Discussion Devices allowed in
system, page 16.
Secure the system cables with Cable Clamps and Cable Locking Clamps, as required.
If you want to use the web browser or system cameras with the CCS 1000 Digital
Discussion System, connect an RJ45 Ethernet cable to the 'Network' connector at the
rear of the Control Unit.
Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a switch, laptop, or PC.
Use RCA cables to connect audio equipment to the 'Audio In' and 'Audio Out' connectors
at the rear of the Control Unit, as required. Inputs and outputs are not galvanic
separated. If galvanic separation is required (e.g. to avoid hum), it must be provided
externally.
