To activate the remote control, remove the insulation tab inserted in the battery compartment. When the operation of the remote control becomes intermittent or unsatisfactory, replace the original battery with a new 3-volt lithium battery.

You can manually tune to find the weak stations if a station gets skipped. With strong signals, the tuner may stop before it reaches the actual broadcast frequency, so you may need to manually tune for the best reception.
